John and Amanda Horne, Capital Campaign Chairs
WHAT: Groundbreaking Ceremony
WHEN: 6/21/24 at 3 o’clock PM
WHERE: 3508 26th Street W, Bradenton, FL 34205
WHY: To change more lives in Manatee County
Manatee County, FL – Pace Manatee has demolished its previous building to make way for a brand-new, state of the art
school with the capacity to serve even more girls per year and change more lives. Utilizing extensive research on the
unique needs of girls, the new Pace Center will be built to serve the next generation of girls. The 18,000 sq.ft. building will
allow for expanded programing and broadened support services including additional classrooms, upgrades to technology,
a health clinic, commercial kitchen, a Reach Program, and additional security.
It’s been 5 years since I left Pace, but I still remember everything like it was yesterday. The teachers and the
friends I’ve made helped me be the person I am today, and I’m proud of her.”- Tracy, Former Pace Girl
The capital campaign committee, led by John and Amanda Horne, has raised over $6M to fund the project. Scheduled to
speak at the event include Pace’s President and CEO Mary Marx, Tara Poulton on behalf of Congressman Vern
Buchanan, and County Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenbridge.
“When our girls succeed, it creates a ripple effect; helping break the cycle
of poverty in our community.”- Amanda Horne
Please join us for this photo opportunity as we place shovels in the ground, at 3:00 PM at 3508 26th Street W in
Bradenton, in celebration of beginning construction.
