Over Half of County's Traffic Lights Operational Amid Ongoing Repairs Following Storm
In the wake of recent storm damage, the county’s Public Works team is diligently restoring power to traffic lights throughout the area. As of 9 a.m. Saturday, 120 traffic lights are back online, while approximately 130 remain without power or are experiencing communication issues. Additionally, 25 lights are in flash mode, and 34 are currently operating on generator power.
Motorists are reminded to exercise caution and patience while repairs are underway. At intersections with non-working traffic signals, drivers should treat them as four-way stops, yielding appropriately and ensuring safety for all.
County officials emphasize the importance of staying alert and watching for workers who are actively repairing traffic signals and working to restore normal traffic operations as quickly as possible. Community cooperation is vital to ensuring the safety of both workers and drivers until all repairs are complete.
