Nu Jazz to Bring Night of Soulful Jazz and R&B to Bradenton, Benefiting Hurricane Relief
The Manatee Performing Arts Center will come alive with the vibrant sounds of contemporary jazz as Nu Jazz, a Sarasota/Bradenton-based band, takes the stage on Saturday, November 16th, at 7:00 PM. Led by Dr. Melvin Price, a renowned local saxophonist and CEO of MCR Health, Nu Jazz is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of R&B-infused jazz, featuring hits from genre legends such as The Rippingtons, Richard Elliot, and Boney James.
With just a few weeks until showtime, excitement is building not only for the music but also for the charitable cause behind it. Dr. Price announced that a portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to support individuals recovering from the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This commitment to helping those in need has amplified community interest in the event.
Nu Jazz’s talented lineup includes accomplished musicians such as Eric Enfield on keyboards, Bert Simmons on drums, and Gregg Jordan on guitar, with additional standout performances by bassist Marcos Diaz and trombonist Dr. Dedrix Daka. Special guest Henry Lawerence will join the group, adding another layer of depth to the night's soulful repertoire.
The event will also feature a guest performance by Unique Full Circle Band, led by percussionist and singer Keith Allen. Doors open at 6:15 PM, allowing attendees ample time to settle in and prepare for an evening of smooth jazz and soulful rhythms.
Tickets are available through the Florida Cultural Group, Inc., and can also be purchased by scanning the QR code featured in promotional materials. Music enthusiasts and community members are encouraged to secure their tickets early to enjoy a memorable night of music for a meaningful cause.
