Moccasin Wallow Road Improvements Continue with Traffic Shifts and Closures
Improvements to Moccasin Wallow Road are moving forward, with Segments 1 and 4 set to be completed by the end of the year. Drivers will notice significant traffic pattern changes in Segment 1, where a new roundabout is under construction. Traffic is being shifted from 115th Avenue E to U.S. 301, and eastbound traffic is now rerouted from Fort Hamer to U.S. 301.
In Segment 4, a closure at 40th Avenue E has led to a detour, redirecting vehicles westward to Bud Rhoden Road. Motorists are advised to use caution and follow the new traffic patterns, particularly at intersections.
While Segments 1 and 4 progress, Segment 2 remains in the design phase, with construction expected to start later this fall. Segment 3 is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2025. Drivers are encouraged to stay informed of updates to avoid disruptions.
