Manatee County Waives Building Permit Fees for Hurricane Recovery Through March 2025
In a significant move to support residents and businesses in rebuilding efforts after back-to-back hurricanes in 2024, Manatee County Development Services has announced waiving select building permit fees for residential and commercial properties. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on those affected by the storms and accelerate recovery within the community.
The waived fees apply specifically to permits related to hurricane damage repairs. This policy will remain in effect until March 1, 2025, providing property owners ample time to initiate and complete their rebuilding projects.
For a comprehensive list of the eligible permits under the Hurricane Recovery 2024 program, residents are encouraged to visit the Recovery & Assistance section on the county's official website at mymanatee.org/storm.
By removing these financial barriers, Manatee County aims to foster resilience and help the community recover swiftly from the devastating effects of the hurricanes.
