Manatee County to Host 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K in Support of Special Olympics
Manatee County is gearing up for the 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K, an event dedicated to supporting Special Olympics Florida. The torch will arrive in the county on Saturday, April 5, 2025, bringing together law enforcement officers, athletes, and community members for a meaningful cause.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. along the scenic downtown Bradenton Riverwalk. Participants can run, walk, or cheer on the athletes as they make their way through the course. After the race, attendees can enjoy camaraderie, refreshments, and post-race celebrations.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual tradition that raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics Florida, helping to provide training, competitions, and resources for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Law enforcement agencies from across the state unite to support the cause, carrying the torch through various communities as a symbol of inclusion and empowerment.
Registration for the event is now open, and participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join. Proceeds from the run contribute directly to Special Olympics programs, ensuring that athletes can continue to train and compete at no cost.
