Manatee County Offers Residents Up to $200 to Upgrade to Water-Saving Toilets
Manatee County encourages residents to conserve water and lower utility bills through its Toilet Rebate Program. Homeowners can now receive up to $100 per toilet—up to two per household—for replacing outdated, high-water-use toilets with modern, high-efficiency models.
The rebate program is part of the county’s broader initiative to promote water conservation and reduce strain on local resources. Older toilets, especially those installed before 1994, can use as much as 3.5 to 7 gallons of water per flush. In contrast, WaterSense-labeled high-efficiency toilets use only 1.28 gallons or less, potentially saving thousands of gallons of water per year per household.
This environmentally friendly program helps preserve Manatee County’s water supply and supports residents looking to cut down on monthly water bills. The initiative is open to single-family homeowners with qualifying toilets and water accounts in good standing.
Residents must apply and provide proof of purchase and installation to take advantage of the rebate. Funds are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
