Manatee County Families: Explore Innovative School Options with Controlled Open Enrollment
Families in the Manatee County School District have the exciting opportunity to choose from 11 district middle schools, each offering unique and innovative programs designed to inspire and engage students. With Controlled Open Enrollment (COE), students can attend a school outside their designated attendance area, expanding the possibilities for tailored educational experiences.
For the 2025-2026 school year, COE applications will be open from January 6-31, 2025. While most schools in the district participate, a few are excluded due to class size and capacity limitations. Families are encouraged to explore the district’s tradition of excellence and discover the wide range of academic pathways and extracurricular programs available.
To help families make informed decisions, the district is hosting two School Showcase events at the Manatee Technical College Main Campus, 6305 SR 70 East, Bradenton:
Secondary Schools (Grades 6-12): Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6-8 p.m.
Elementary Schools (Grades Pre-K-5): Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 6-8 p.m.
These showcases will provide a chance to meet school principals, teachers, and students while exploring the innovative programs that make Manatee County schools stand out.
