Manatee County Announces Christmas Tree Disposal Guidelines and Holiday Schedule Changes
Manatee County residents can dispose of live Christmas trees by placing them at the curb on designated yard-waste collection days. Trees must be free of ornaments, lights, decorations, and the stand. If they exceed four feet in length, they should be cut down into manageable pieces to allow mechanical equipment to pick them up.
Residents should place artificial trees in regular trash for disposal.
In observance of New Year’s Day on Wednesday, there will be no residential garbage or recycling collection. Collection schedules for the rest of the week will shift by one day. For additional information on holiday closures and schedule changes, residents can visit the county's website at mymanatee.org/holiday.
