Man Hospitalized After Altercation in Manatee County Bar Parking Lot

A man was hospitalized following an altercation in a parking lot outside a Manatee County bar, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday after two men got into a car accident in the Oneco Rose Bar parking lot, located in the 100 block of Cortez Road West.

During the ensuing argument, 27-year-old Jordan Glanz shot 49-year-old Deondrick Anderson in the torso, deputies said. Glanz then fled the scene.

Anderson was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Officials reported that Glanz later contacted authorities, claiming he shot Anderson in self-defense.

Glanz has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The incident remains under investigation.
