Lucky Ducky Race for Pace to Take Over Riverwalk in Downtown Bradenton April 12
Ducks Still Up for Adoption
Downtown Bradenton is gearing up for one of its most beloved community events—the Lucky Ducky Race for Pace—happening Saturday, April 12, 2025. In just one week, thousands of rubber ducks will take to the Manatee River in a colorful race to support the life-changing work of Pace Center for Girls of Manatee County. And there's still time to get in on the fun—ducks are available for adoption now.
Each adopted duck represents more than a chance to win great prizes—it’s an opportunity to invest in the future of local girls who are overcoming serious life challenges through Pace's programs. Proceeds from the event fund academic support, counseling, and career readiness services for girls ages 11–17 who need a path toward healing and success.
The impact of this fundraiser can be seen in powerful stories like Leah’s. After spending her early years in foster care and facing expulsion during her teen years, Leah found a second chance at Pace. The care and patience she received there helped her shift her perspective and realize her potential. Today, she’s a Trauma Nurse in the ER and a Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse, thriving in her career and family life.
Katie’s journey is another shining example. Struggling with anxiety and disillusioned by traditional school, she came to Pace feeling lost. The supportive environment helped her rebuild confidence and reignite her love for learning. Today, Katie is Happy Bins's proud Co-Owner and CFO, a local trash bin cleaning company focused on promoting a clean, healthy environment.
The race promises family-friendly fun, live entertainment, and the heartwarming sight of thousands of ducks bobbing toward the finish line. But more importantly, it promises hope for every girl who walks through Pace's doors.
There’s still time to adopt your duck and be part of something truly meaningful.
