Local Business Launches Fundraiser to Support Anna Maria Island Community
Dennis Frey, the owner of a small apparel decorating business in Bradenton, is rallying support for the Anna Maria Island community with a unique fundraising initiative. For over 20 years, Frey’s company has provided custom apparel for customers across Anna Maria Island. Now, he’s giving back to the community that has supported him by launching a fundraiser to benefit two local organizations: the Anna Maria Island Community Center and the Bradenton Beach Merchants Association.
The fundraiser stands out due to Frey's commitment to donating 100% of the proceeds from selling the first 500 t-shirts and 100 hats. Each shirt, sold at $25, generates a full $25 donation toward Anna Maria Island. Frey hopes to sell all 500 shirts and 100 hats to raise $14,500, which will be split equally between the two organizations.
Since the fundraiser launched, the community has shown interest, with $2,000 worth of merchandise sold. However, Frey is calling on locals to help spread the word. His primary focus is not on promoting his business but on garnering enough attention to reach the fundraising goal and support these worthwhile causes.
Community members can show their support by visiting Frey’s website, manateeapparel.com/ami_strong/shop/home, where they can purchase merchandise to directly benefit the Anna Maria Island Community Center and the Bradenton Beach Merchants Association.
