European Holiday Market Brings Old-World Charm to the Gulf Coast
The Bradenton Area is set to sparkle this December with the debut of the European Holiday Market, an enchanting event blending timeless traditions with a modern Gulf Coast flair. Presented by the Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Bradenton Area Convention Center, this festive experience promises a journey through a 19th-century-inspired European holiday village.
Guests will begin their adventure at a meticulously crafted simulation of an 1880s European train depot, seamlessly transitioning into a lively market filled with artisan vendors and seasonal cheer. Unique holiday gifts, handcrafted treasures, and eco-friendly goods will be displayed, offering something special for every shopper. The market also highlights local flavors with a culinary fusion of Floribbean favorites and European-inspired treats, from lamb meatball skewers to Bavarian pretzel bites, complemented by seasonal beverages like Glühwein and holiday-themed cocktails.
From December 4 to 8, 2024, the event at the Bradenton Area Convention Center and The Yard Palmetto Marriott will feature a dynamic lineup of activities. Visitors can enjoy live theater, model train displays, family-friendly DIY workshops, and immersive video projections. Special highlights include the "Far Way Home" live performance, Santa and Mrs. Claus meet-and-greets aboard the Hernando DeSoto ship, and a beer garden hosted by the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society.
Adding a unique community touch, the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee will sponsor the “Exploring Holiday Traditions Through Christmas Trees” exhibit, showcasing decorations crafted by local students and inviting visitors to vote for their favorite.
With ticket discounts for educators and veterans on the opening days and free admission for children under eight, the European Holiday Market offers a magical and inclusive experience for all. Parking is complimentary, ensuring a seamless holiday outing.
Prepare for an unforgettable blend of old-world holiday charm and coastal elegance at this inaugural event.
