Bradenton’s Annual Fill The Truck Toy Drive Kicks Off with Generous Donation
The holiday season is upon us, and the Bradenton Police Department’s annual Fill The Truck Toy Drive is officially underway. With just four weeks until the big collection day, the community has already witnessed an outpouring of generosity. Jess Jewelers, a longtime supporter of the event, has kick-started the season with a donation of $1,200 in toys and gifts to bring joy to local families.
This heartwarming drive aims to brighten the holidays for children and teens in need, ensuring no one is left without a gift to unwrap. Bradenton residents have several opportunities to join this effort:
Drop Off Day: On Saturday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring a new, unwrapped gift for a child or teen to the Bradenton Police Department, located at 100 10th Street West.
Lobby Collection Bin: Donations can also be left in the department’s lobby during regular business hours.
Amazon Gift List: Shop online and send gifts directly to BPD through their Amazon wish list at bit.ly/2024FillTheTruck.
The annual toy drive has become a cherished tradition, uniting the community in the spirit of giving. With the first donation already secured, organizers hope this year’s event will surpass expectations and bring holiday cheer to countless families.
Mark your calendars and help fill the truck to make the season merry for those who need it most!
